Sanjiv Indran of EWB Malaysia is stepping up to take on the role of president of EWB International from January 2024.

As we’ve been counting down to World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development on March 4th, we’ve been celebrating a small handful of engineers from the massive network of changemakers across the global Engineers Without Borders community.

We are pleased to announce our newly elected directors from around the world.

Engineers Without Borders International has produced the challenges that are now available for student teams from around the world to take part and ‘hack’. By taking part, students are inspired to become socially and environmentally conscious engineers aware of the global challenges humanity faces.

Engineers Without Borders International is delighted to be partnering with the World Federation Of Engineering Organisations (WFEO) for the second year running to deliver a global Hackathon as part of the 2023 World Engineering Day celebrations.

Engineers Without Borders International is looking for a programmes director. This is a 6-12 month part-time consultancy contract. If you’re someone with excellent facilitation, management and leadership skills and excited by the opportunity to develop a global framework of support for aligned programmes delivered by national Engineers Without Borders organisations, this role is for you.

We now have two (2) seats available to join the board of directors of Engineers Without Borders International via election.

Following recruitments in the last few months, we’re pleased to welcome the following people to our team. Beryl Simba and Julia Inés Roitman join us on the board as appointed directors, and Piliah Bonareri and Ben Plimmer join our core team as volunteers.

We are shocked and deeply saddened by the ongoing human suffering currently happening in Ukraine and her neighbouring countries. We are also mindful not to forget other equally distressing humanitarian crises around the world.

We’re looking for passionate and capable volunteers across a number of opportunities including Membership, Fundraising, Communications and supporting the development of our strategy.
