and an Workshop on Engineering and
Technology for Poverty Reduction, Emergencies,
and Sustainable Development (May 13).
ENGINEERS WITHOUT BORDERS
INTERNATIONAL NETWORK
MEETING
May 11-12,
2005
Agenda
This EWB-I
network meeting provided a unique
opportunity for all current EWB-I network
members, prospecting members, observers and
others who share the same vision to meet face to
face, interact, learn from each other, and shape
the future of the network through strategic
planning.
There was an
opportunity at the meeting for each organization
present to share what they are doing in the
areas of poverty reduction, international
development, and addressing grassroots community
needs. Each organization was also given
opportunity to make its views known regarding an
international network, body or group for
organizations called ‘Engineers Without
Borders’, or its translations. Specific
strategic goals of the
meeting included
developing a mode of future operation for the
network (representation, funding, collaboration
and partnerships, projects, etc.), and a joint
vision, mission and common set of values.
WORKSHOP ON
ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY FOR POVERTY
REDUCTION,
EMERGENCIES AND
SUSTAINABLE
DEVELOPMENT
May 13,

reduction, emergencies, and sustainable
development. The workshop consisted of a
